
2023 Election: Minister Of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi Resigns Asks Buhari To Support His Aspirantion

Ahead of the 2023 General Elections, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, Hon. Minister of Transportation who is an APC Presidential Aspirant for the forthcoming general elections has resigned his position from the Ministry of Transportation.
He disclosed this in his resignation letter dated 16 May 2022.
The Minster of Transportation who is a former governor of Rivers State has earlier picked his APC Nomination and Declaration of Interest form to run for Presidency under the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC. The form was sold at 100 Million Naira Only.
Recall that the presidency had earlier issued a statement instructing compulsory resignation from all public Office holders intending to join in the contest for elective positions.
This had made some Aspirants like Dr. Chris Ngige among others to withdraw from the race and retain their position.
The Former Governor of Rivers State, believing in his capacity, has moved on with his Aspirantion of seeking to represent the All Progressive Congress in the forthcoming presidential elections.

Letter of Resignation
It is with mixed feelings that I tender my resignation as the Minister of Transportation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to contest for the Presidential ticket of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.
Your Excellency, it has been a great honour and privilege serving as a member of your cabinet following your historic victory at the polls in 2015. Under your administration, the Ministry of Transportation has recorded significant achievements, made possible by your visionary support and commitment to ensuring that we deliver on our mandate.
As I embark on the next phase of our mission to work towards a better Nigeria for ALL NIGERIANS, I humbly seek Your Excellency’s prayers, blessings and look towards your continuous support and guidance.
Your Excellency, whilst humbly seeking your kind consideration of my request please accept the assurances of my highest esteem.
