Soludo Is The Governorship Candidate of APGA- High Court, Awka
The contest for the Governorship Candidate is heating up the more in APGA as the party’s internal crisis continues deepen.
Over the weekend, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC had released list of candidates for the November 6 Governorship Primaries in Anambra State. The list had published the name of Hon Chukwuma Umeoji as the APGA Candidate for the Anambra State 2021 Governorship Election.
Just this morning we got reports from our reporter in Awka, Anambra State that a Federal High Court sitting in Awka has ordered the recognition of Professor Charles Soludo as the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.
While delivering his judgement today, Monday, July 19, 2021, Justice C C Okaa stated that the other parties in the suit which includes; Jude Okeke, Edozie Njoku and Chukwuma Umeoji are “meddlesome interlopers”.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission had published the name of Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji based on the judgement of a Jigawa High Court which affirmed Jude Okeke as the authentic APGA National Chairman.
We are still confused as to which court order will stand and who would finally be the APGA Candidate for the Anambra 2021 Governorship Election.
