Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, wife of late Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu has applauded Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo over his recent visit to Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at his DSS detention centre.

Recall that as part of his peace and reconciliation plans, the executive governor of Anambra State had on Friday visited Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra in his DSS detention centre in Abuja.

During the visit, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu had expressed his sadness over what he described as “sacrilegious killings” of innocent persons, kidnappings and all forms of criminalities, including the brutal enforcement of the senseless “sit at home” order, perpetuated by sundry groups claiming to be acting for or on behalf of IPOB.

Reacting to the visit, Amb Bianca Ojukwu had taken to her social media space to applaud Soludo over the gradual steps taken to restore peace and order in the state.

Her post reads:

“The Nation which forgets its own defenders will itself be forgotten”.

(Calvin Coolidge, 1920.)

A Highly Momentous Occasion, and a welcome development.
