
Anambra Central: TrackaNg Publishes Some Of The Numerous Abandoned Projects Of Sen. Victor Umeh In Anambra Central

TrackaNg, a formost online platform known for its expository activities aimed at enabling citizens to collaborate, track and give feedback on public projects in their community have recently published abandoned projects of Sen. Victor Umeh, former member representing Anambra Central on their Twitter handle.
According to TrackaNg, Umeh, a former Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and Labour Party’s Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central have numerous abandoned projects to his credit. Among them are:
N8m was allocated in the 2019 budget for the construction of solar powered borehole with overhead tank in Izu Anaocha, Awka North LGA, Anambra Central Senatorial District, Anambra State. Despite the 70% funds released, we report that the project has been ABANDONED.
Another abandoned project according to our source is the
N15m was allocated in the 2018 budget for the construction of box culvet for flood control at hospital road, Mkpasaku, Enugu- Agidi, Njikoka LGA, Anambra Central Senatorial. We observed that only project signpost was installed. The project remains abandoned.
In addition:
N35M was allocated in the 2018 budget for the construction and ‘finishing’ of primary health centre in ‘Agulu-Uzigbo’ Anaocha LGA, Anambra Central Senatorial district, Anambra State. Despite 70% funds released the project remains ABANDONED.
N21m was allocated in the 2018 budget for the construction of pavilion at Ebenesi primary school, Plainfield, Aguluzigbo, Anaocha LGA, Anambra Central Senatorial district, Anambra State. Despite the 70% released, this project has not been implemented.
This excludes other abandoned projects littered at Adazi- Nnukwu, Nnobi, Akwaeze, among others in Anambra Central.
Sen. Victor Umeh who hails from Aguluzigbo is a former National Chairman of APGA. He is currently contesting for Senate, Anambra Central under Labour Party after he was defeated at the APGA primaries by Hon. Ferdinand Dozie Nwankwo, member representing Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency.
