ANAMBRA COUNCILLORS CONGRATULATES PROF SOLUDO AND DR IBEZIEM ON THEIR INAUGURATION AS ANAMBRA GOVERNOR AND DEPUTY.
The leadership of Anambra State Councillors have sent their heart warning congratulatory message to the new Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo and his Deputy Dr Onyekachukwu Ibeziem.
In a press release made available to newsmen at Awka the leadership of Anambra grassroots headed by Hon Chika Okogba and Hon Chris Onwuanaeze. The leaders of the grassroots reaffirmed their believe in Prof Soludo who according to them have already started in the right direction.
“Like we noted at his election victory Prof Soludo came prepared and willing to make positive change. He has requisite convictions and knowledge,he only needs political will determined for common good and Anambra will be better.”
They went further to state “as a social sciencist Prof Soludo understands the need for grassroots development and we are convinced that he will champion such. We therefore encourage him to ensure there is elected officials at the Local Government Councils as he has promised and adequately oversea their deligent adminstration’
The immediate past elected local government Councillors, who were elected in 2014 and served till 2016 berated past administrations for their neglect of the grassroots also asked Governor Soludo to visit the issues which have seen them remain in Industrial Court of Appeal with the State Government.
While the new Anambra Governor success the councillors prayed God to strengthen his resolution to lead Anambra State to light.
