Anambra Is In Great Debt; Our Treasury Is Funny- Soludo

Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, Executive Governor of Anambra State has said that he met the Anambra State Treasury in a funny state.
He made this statement during an Interview session on Arise TV this morning.
According to him, the immediate past government left about 300 – 400 million in cash with inherited debt of over 100 billion naira (excluding the money Obiano is owing to contractors).
In his words:
“”In terms of debt I inherited, it runs into hundreds of billions of Naira. In that of cash, we met about 300 – 400 million Naira. In fact let’s not talk about it, our treasury is funny, but I hope we shall make money henceforth to help us fulfill our promises for infrastructure and development of the state. But in terms of what I met in our coffers, my brother, it’s pathetic. Please let us not go there. God will help us”.
