Anambrarians have reacted and expressed their disappointments over the purported hike in the prices of Air Peace Flight into the Newly Approved Anambra International Cargo and Passenger Airport in Anambra State.
Recall that just few days ago, The Anambra State Government got the approval of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) to begin operations on the Anambra International Cargo and Passengers Airport. This had prompted Air Peace decision to commence flight operations into the airport.
Air Peace had disclosed this decision to Newsmen on Saturday in a press statement by it’s spokesperson, Stanley Olisa who stated that Anambra people can now have a sigh of relief as they can now fly directly from Lagos and Abuja into the Umueri located Airport, adding that the airline would kick-off on Tuesday December 7 2021 with four flights per week. He stated that for a start, they shall be operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays and to increase as operations gains more grounds.
Olisa, who said that passengers can start booking on Air Peace’s website www.flyairpeace.com or its mobile app, stressed that the airline plans to connect Anambra to other cities not only Lagos and Abuja.
Anambrarians who had gone to access the site to book their tickets had bitterly complained over the high prices of the tickets.
Most of them had stated that since Air Peace is owned by an Anambrarian, his prices should have been fair enough. Some of them who went as far as comparing the prices from Lagos to Anambra and that of Lagos to Other Northern States stated that it was even cheaper to fly to North than Anambra.
They called on Onyema, the Anambra Owner of Air Peace to look into these fares for better patronage as the Anambra Airport begins operations.
