Yesterday, Sunday 04 July 2021 at St Peter’s Anglican Church Amawbia, we witnessed the Diaconate Ordination of four new priests of the Anglican communion by His Grace Most Revd. Alexander Ibezim PhD. The archbishop of Ecclesiastical Province of Niger and Bishop of Diocese of Awka.
The solemn ceremony the Archbishop charged the new priests to be Christ’s ambassadors and live true to their calling while urging them to be faithful to God and His church. Archbishop Ibezim reminded them that it is God who chooses who will serve Him and that they have been called to serve God among God’s people in truthful words and actions. He affirmed that they are soul winners for Christ. Going further the father in faith reminded the new priests that the authority of the church of God is not negotiable or to be jettisoned at any time. Archbishop Ibezim then blessed their priestly ministry, praying God to grant them grace and mercy to worship Him through their calling.
The elated priests,their families friends and people of God blessed God for His gifts and blessings. They all danced to the alter with their offerings.
Among the four new deacons are Rev. Nnamdi Chukwudi Nwokoye, Rev. Stanley Okechukwu Nweke, Rev. N.E. Enone, Rev. Chizualum Ifecheluobi
