APC Governship Candidate, Sen. Andy Uba Moves to Recover Campaign Funds from Beneficiaries After Losing The Governship Election
According to reports, the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Anambra 2021 governorship election, Senator Andy Uba, may have moved to recover his campaign funds allegedly released to top politicians in the state following their failure to deliver their local governments.
Recall that Senator Andy despite the numerous persons who had defected from different parties to the APC to support his candidacy, had lost the election to Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA with Valentine Chineto Ozigbo of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP coming second.
Sources said that the candidate allegedly released various sums of money to senators, members of the House of Representatives and state lawmakers to ensure his victory in some local governments in the state and have moved to recover it back after their failure to deliver his candidacy.
Senator Andy Uba has also over the weekend revealed his intentions to head to court to seek redress regarding the just concluded Anambra Governorship Election stating that the elections have some irregularities.
