The joy of APGA members in Idemili South knew no bounds as the Commissioner for Basic Education in the State–Prof Kate Omenugha who double as the Chairman of Idemili South L.G. Campaign Committee hosted members of the party at Ichie Obama Residence Nnobi, to celebrate the victory of the Governor Elect Prof Chukwuma Soludo in the November 6th Gubernatorial election.
Chatting with party stakeholders, stalwarts and party faithfuls across the seven communities cum twelve wards in the Council Area during the victory party which was attended by the Deputy Governor Elect– Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, SSG– Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment– Hon C Don Adinuba, T.C Chairman Idemili South– Hon Don Unachukwu, Convener of Youth Earnestly Support Soludo YESS– Dr Nelson Omenugha, Convener of Women Initiative for Greater Anambra WIGA– Mrs Amaka Obi, Sir Joe Ezeanya–Idemili South L.G party chairman, Chief Felix Obunadike– former Idemili South L.G party chairman, T.C chairman Orumba North– Hon Mrs Ify Obinabo , SSA to the Governor on political matter’s– Dr Vero Okechukwu an APGA Chieftain in Idemili South, Mr Chijioke Agbanyim, and other host of others, Prof Omenugha held that the Governor Elect Prof Chukwuma Soludo would do more for Anambrians when he assumed office.
She said: “We are celebrating this day because God helped us to be victorious. There were many challenges and all manners of things but at the end, God was on our side and we came out victorious and I believe it is worth celebrating.
“I want to assure our people of Idemili South to expect more dividends of Democracy from the victory APGA had in Idemili South which was achieved through the mission of the party which is to create committed, loving and happy party faithfuls and also following the core value’s thus; love, equity, Fairness, Togetherness, Hard work, Commitment and Reward.
Earlier in his address, the Deputy Governor-Elect, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim thanked the people of Idemili South on behalf of the Governor Elect Prof Chukwuma Soludo while assuring the people that their leadership will be entrenched on transparency and integrity.
Also speaking, the Secretary to the State Government Prof Solo Chukwulobelu in his brief remarks appreciated umu idemili Idemili South, most especially the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha for delivering APGA in Idemili South despite numerous challenges.
In their remarks, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Hon Don Unachukwu and the Convener of Women Initiative for Greater Anambra WIGA, Hon Mrs Amaka Obi opined that as a people and as a party, there is no doubt that that APGA victory in Idemili South is worth celebrating, commended party stakeholders, ward chairmen, women leaders and Youth leaders for their solidarity and allegiance while expressing optimism that Prof Chukwuma Soludo and the Deputy Governor Elect will consolidate on Good Governmence.
On his part, the Convener of Youths Earnestly Support Soludo, Dr Nelson Omenugha who described the party faithfuls as strong enablers and true hero of APGA, appreciated the youths for being resolute.
Cutting of the unique victory cake designed with APGA colours and logos alongside cultural dance added glamour to the event.
