APGA Is Presently A Field of Sorrow; Amb. Bianca Replies APGA Peace/ Reconciliation Team
In an effort to reconcile aggrieved APGA party faithfuls, a Peace and Reconciliation Committee headed by Senator Victor Umeh was set up. Yesterday, 31st July 2021, the team paid a visit to Her Excellency, Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, wife of Late General Chukwuemeka Ojukwu at her residence in Enugu.
According to a post she made on her Facebook wall after the visit, she noted that “Reconciliation must be built on Justice”
Recall that Amb. Bianca Ojukwu was one of the aggrieved aspirants during the Senatorial Primaries. She’s one of the core advocates of the “Oye Must Refund and Resign” slogan

RECONCILIATION MUST BE BUILT ON JUSTICE…
The APGA Reconciliation Committee under the pragmatic chairmanship of Distinguished Senator Victor Umeh paid arrived my Residence this 31th July 2021 on a scheduled visit . The essence of the visit was to discuss the Reconciliation of the party’s matriarch to the party as the Anambra Guber Election draws closer by the day.
Senator Umeh, who is passionate about the advancement of the party is faced with an onerous task as our once beloved party staggers towards an electoral deadline with it’s once united members clutching at each other’s throats, an unfortunate brought about by the patently unjust decisions and insensitivity of APGA leadership which have had no tangible result other than sabotaging our party’s chances of success at the impending elections. I made the salient points below…A political party, like any other institution is as strong as its leadership.
Any party Leadership which consistently chants the mantra ‘Party is Supreme’ should also ensure that such supremacy is founded on the fundamental ideals of equity, fairness, transparency, due process, and most importantly, Justice. Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, our eternal leader would always allude to St Augustine’s profound statement that such ‘Supremacy’ or Sovereignty Without JUSTICE is nothing other than Organized Robbery. Any political party that consistently robs its own members will not endure, APGA inclusive.
With an inept party leadership aided and abetted by a ‘cabal’ whose only commitment to the wellbeing of the party remains feasting off the financial flesh of its own members, it remains our collective prayer that our beloved party, in its current weakened state should not be reduced to a carcass by so many contending forces, external and internal, as we advance towards the Guber elections on Nov. 6.
There have previously been two Reconciliation Committees whose recommendations were never implemented. Both reports, as well as Sen. Umeh’s now famous email to Governor Willie Obiano, APGA National Leader chronicling the monumental and scandalous extortions of APGA aspirants across States, carried out by Ozonkpu Victor Oye in flagrant abuse of his position as APGA Chairman during the 2018 APGA Primaries are an indictment not only on Oye,( who shamelessly had refused to refund and resign), but a party leadership that continues to provide him a cover for such glaring impunity. A party Chairman who, at any given opportunity, continues mercilessly to fleece his own members is nothing other than an ‘Ekperima’…and remains an albatross round our Party’s neck. His presence at any party campaign ground is a big minus to the APGA guber project. This remains my Stand.I remain committed to putting this dark chapter in our party’s history behind us, as we advance towards the November 2021 Guber Elections. The Egyptians we see today will soon become yesterday’s men. We will rebuild our city walls. It is my prayer that in spite of our current travails, we are able to produce another governor of APGA stock. It is also my hope that the recommendations of the Sen. Victor Umeh led Committee will be far reaching enough to introduce a new order to the scheme of things.
APGA is presently a field of sorrow for so many walking wounded...from the APGA Aggrieved Aspirants, Aggrieved party members and executives as well as many of our party stakeholders. These party faithful and many others who have sacrificed much for the party must be given a listening ear and treated more humanely in order to justify all their sacrifices for the party, because any attempts at reconciliation, no matter how well conceived , without Justice and without bringing perpetrators of the impunity to account, is akin to building a house on a foundation of house and fog.Iyom Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu 31st July 2021.
We shall bring you more of her responses to the team shortly
