…regrets 16 years of APGA led administration’s abandonment of the LGA
Awka North Government Area can be regarded as one of the most neglected or abandoned LGAs in Anambra State under APGA’s 16-year administration.
APGA had reserved Awka North LGA as one of the LGAs that they will not visit for it’s campaign owing to the bad roads that litter the area, especially the Amansea, Ebenebe, Ugbene, Ugbenu, Oba Ofemili roads.
As a consequence of this stark reality, Ndi Awka North LGA had long resolved not to vote for All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, preferring instead to cast their lot with the All Progressives Congress, APC, citing Governor Willy Obiano’s ‘do nothing’ posture in Awka North LGA.
However, following interventions by some individuals from the area, intent on dousing the panic mood in the area, APGA yesterday morning resolved to reconsider it’s earlier decision not to visit Awka North LGA for a campaign rally.
But trailing this change of mind is a nagging question from Awka North Youths Forum headed by Mazi Bosco Anaracha, which sought to know if Governor Obiano and APGA would use private jets to access Awka North LGA since their road is now completely impassable.
“God is Fighting Awka North LGA’s battle.
The Rain is increasing in Ebenebe and Amansea as we welcome Gov. Obiano led APGA campaign team to Awka North LGA today. Let’s see if he will fly into Ebenebe in the face of this road which he abandoned for several years,” Anaracha said.
