Government of Swaziland Orders Men to Marry 5 wives or Risk Going to Jail.

 

 

Eswatini, country in southern Africa which is known as Swaziland.

 

Kingdom of Eswatini is a landlocked country in southern Africa which is bordered by Mozambique to it’s Northeast,and south Africa to it’s North,west, South and southeast.

 

The king of Swaziland,king mswati lll has declared in the country that men are warranted to marry at least 5 wives or risk going to jail.

 

According,to the media reports by the king, a statement was declared that all men in the country were to marry at least 5 wives, assuring them that the government would pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them.

 

The deal is:, marry at least 5 wives and you’re assured that the government will pay for the marriage ceremonies and buy houses for them

 

King mswati warned,that any man or woman who goes against the decision “will face a life sentence”. The order is to ensure every woman gets a husband as it is believed that men taking more wives will help women gets husbands.

 

In Swaziland,the monarch noted that there are more women than men which he noted was a serious problem for a country known to be full of virgins( unmarried women)

It was reported that the decision also came following the increasing number of virgins and scarcity of men in the country.king mswati has 15 wives and 25 children. While his father and predecessor had more than 70 wives and over 150 children.
