IMOLITES APPLAUD UZODIMMA’S URBAN RENEWAL PROJECTS.
Earlier before now when the Shared Prosperity Government of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma brought out the design of the new Imo City, some of the opposition of the Government made jest of it because they never believed that the new normal could be possible.
When the Government started with the removal of the roundabouts to introduce a modern traffic free projects there were critiques from various groups, acclaimed opinion moulders, churches, radio stations and even commuters. To them previous Governors have repeated the same thing but could not solve traffic problems in Imo State, some said that it was waste of resources, others said it was a way of siphoning funds because they still believed on the old order of clean water in a dirty bottle.
We shall recall that before now commuters queue for more than three to five hour at various junctions in Owerri Municipality like that of Warehouse roundabout, Government House roundabouts, Imsu junction, old Fire service roundabout, Naze number one roundabout to mention but a few.
Today every Imolite, commuters and opposition parties are singing praises and applauding the calm but well articulating Governor of Imo State Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma for solving one of the major problems of the State in the capital City of Imo State. When the projects are totally completed we shall have a brand new Owerri capital City.
