Just In: ASATU National President Lauds Governor Obiano For Airport Project, Role In Promoting Peace And Good Governance In Anambra.
The National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions Hon Barr Akpudo Titus has commended the Executive Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Chief Willie Obiano (Akpokudike Global) for the manifest strides and achievements in the State and particularly for the landmark Airport Project and for the good works he has been doing to promote peace and stability of good Governmence in Anambra.
In extolling Governor Obiano’s achievements, the ASATU Boss prayed that the legacy projects built by the Governor and the high standards he established in sustaining credible and peaceful Inter-communal relationship are maintained and sustained in Anambra.
The ASATU National President made this known during an inspection visit to Airport with the Governor.
Speaking of the Airport Project, he pointed out the economical value of the Airport to Ndị Anambra and the State Government. According to Barr Akpudo, by facilitating tourism and trade, the airport will generate economic growth, provide jobs, increase revenues from taxes and economic development is often linked with infrastructural development, which means that airports are expected to further the development of the economies of the surrounding regions cum area’s.
Barr Akpudo, notes, with appreciation, the peculiar and remarkable effort of the Governor in sustainability of Good Governance and dedication that has kept him working despite the economic challenges occasioned by Covid-19 pandemic which is a global crisis.
He enjoined the traditional rulers who are the chief custodian in every community to utilize.
their office to ensure that peace and harmony is sustained in their various communities while urging members of the public to use their respective talents in promoting the culture of peaceful co-existence and unity in the State.
He further, urged the civil service commission them to use their platforms in the social media in promoting the achievements of the Governor Obiano administration.
