Just In: VAT Collection by FG is Illegal. Gov. Wike Releases Documents To Prove It
Nyesom Wike, the Executive Governor of Rivers State,on Wednesday shared a letter the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), Muhammad Mamman Nami wrote to the National Assembly “to amend the Constitution and empower the Federal Government to collect Value Added Tax (VAT)”.
Wike is asking the FIRS in the oil-rich South-South state to stop its “bullying”, and is also accusing them of “doing things illegally”
