Nnamdi Azikwe University Reduces School Fees Price

The Nnamdi Azikwe University (Unizik), Awka, Anambra State, has reduced the Price of her School fees after series of negotiations between the University Management and the Students Union Government.

 

Recall, that just few weeks ago, there has been a recent complain about the hike in the School Fees of the Students of Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka which had promoted the Students of the said University to embark on a Peaceful Protest and even threatened to boycott the Matriculation scheduled to hold today, Friday, 16th July 2021, should the management of the school not listen to them and heed to their pleas of reducing the School fees.

 

According to the students, a lot of promising young ones had dropped out of school as a result of the recent hike in the fees.

 

In a statement issued by the School’s Management and signed by Chika Gladys Ene, Ag. Head Information and Public Relations on behalf of the School Management, the school’s management had denied of any increment of school fees since the school fees harmonization in 2019.

 

This didn’t prevent the students from proceeding with their planned peaceful protest which seemed not to have been approved by the Students Union Government.

In a press meeting held in the late hours of yesterday at the Conference Hall of the Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, agreements was reached between the Students and the School’s Management and a reasonable reduction has been made on the tuition fee and other charges of the Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka, Anambra State.

 

This is indeed a welcomed development.
