25 March 2022

Mr Valentine Obienyem, the media Aid to Mr Peter Obi has stated that Peter Obi is yet to declare for the 2023 presidential race.

According to him, Obi has not really declared rather,

What happened “today” (yesterday)  was not really a declaration to contest the Presidency. Mr. Peter Obi only informed traditional rulers and PGs of his intention to contest the position of the President of Nigeria . Thereafter, they offered their advice, blessings and assurances of support for him.

Both traditional rulers and PGs agreed that he is the best man for the job now. They all recalled his governance of Anambra State and said if only Nigerians would allow him to replicate the Anambra miracle nationally.

Recall that yesterday, at the Government House Awka, Mr Peter Obi had in a meeting of traditional rulers stated his intentions to contest the presidential election come 2023. Many had thought it as the official declaration. But Mr Valentine has explained that the official

“declaration comes up on the 2nd of next month.”
