
Mariestella Chidiogo Okpala, Nigeria’s representative has won the Best National Costume at the just-concluded Miss Universe pageant in Eliat, Isreal.
The Anambra International Model and Hostess at Fly Emirates who has travelled to over 30 countries had worn an outfit inspired by the ‘Mmanwa’ masquerade from Southeastern Nigeria on the international stage.
Okpala who had emerged 1st runner up (Miss Universe Nigeria) at the recently concluded Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria Beauty Pageant had gone ahead to represent Nigeria on the international stage to compete for World Miss Universe.
And it is at this international stage that she had worn is gigantic outfit that speaks volume of the South Eastern Culture.
The costume was designed by Filipino designer, Kennedy Jhon Gasper.
The Young girl is indeed doing Anambra and Nigeria at large, proud.
