Given the instructions issued by the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) to the People of SouthEast Nigeria (Biafraland), there has been total compliance.
The Indigenous People of Biafra have earlier issued a statement demanding for the unconditional release of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra and failure to do so on or before the 8th of August will warrant total lockdown of all Eastern States on every Monday until he is released.
Yesterday, there was rumors of cancellation of the proposed Sit-At-Home due to NECO Exams which had warranted IPOB to issue another Press Statement, stating that the Lockdown still holds.
Earlier today, our reporter in Awka took a tour around Awka and noticed that there was a total lockdown.
Banks, filling stations, businesses were totally locked especially in the major roads in Awka, Anambra State.
Security operatives are also on ground.
