Sen. Victor Umeh lacks the Morality to lead the Peace/ Reconciliation Committee – Uloka Chukwubuikem
APGA has continued to be at war with each other. The struggle to produce the APGA flag bearer has in one way or another, torn the party apart thereby creating room for three different fractions each with a National Chairman, Candidate and it’s own faction of party faithfuls for the November 6 Anambra State Gubernatorial Election.
In other to forestall peace, reconcile the aggrieved parties and possibly set the road straight for all to work together and possibly achieve victory for the party come the Novermber 6 Anambra Governorship Election, the Oye led faction of the party which has Prof Charles Soludo as her candidate has initiated a Peace/ Reconciliation Committee which is to be headed by Sen. Victor Umeh, Former Senator Representing Anambra Central Senatorial District and Former National Chairman of APGA who according to Uloka, lacks the Morality to head the committee.
According to a post on his Facebook page, Uloka Chukwubuikem, SSA to Governor Willie Obiano and Director Media to Hon. Chukwuma Umeoji Campaign Organisation stated that “Senator Chief Victor Umeh and few others are barred by logic and morality to appear in, nor head the committee.” He believes that the head of the committee must be someone neutral as “it is not Natural for a man who fired the bullets to be approached for him to take off the pellets.”
He further added that, “I, Uloka Chukwubuikem would rather offer myself to lead the Reconciliation/Peace Committee or any other young person in the party, than having any of Senator Victor Umeh OFR, Igwe Rowland Odegbo and Co-, embark on the timely but effortless Reconciliation as a result of the role they all played in the process leading to the current state of things.”
He concluded by stating that in as much as Sen. Victor Umeh is a great man, yet he lacks the moral justification to mediate in this current crisis. In his words, he stated, “Senator Umeh is a great man and one of the leaders of the party, but lacks the neutrality to feel the pulse of aggrieved members of the party as it stands now.”
Recall that in the previous Senatorial Election, APGA seem to have witnessed similar crisis which almost tore down the party. The likes of Sen Ifeanyi Ubah had left the party while Amb. Bianca Ojukwu had insisted that “Oye Must Refund and Resign.” APGA seem to be witnessing the same fate again.
