A postgraduate student of Ahamadu Bello University, ABU Zaria has renounced his studentship of the University in protest of the gruesome m”rder of Deborah who was k!lled in Shehu Shagari College of Education over alleged blasphemy of prophet Mohammed.

The postgraduate student who identified himself as Oyeniyi Iwakun had written a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State, renouncing his Studentship of the University.

In his letter, he emphasized that his decision for renouncing his Studentship was in protest of Deborah’s M*rder. For him, nothing justifies her m*urder no matter her crime.

He further explained that as a young Christian schooling in Northern Nigeria, if Deborah could be killed, what was the guarantee of his own safety in Kaduna.

He sees his open letter as a contribution to the demand for justice for Deborah’s M*rder and prays that the perpetrators shall be brought to book.
