The Anambra State Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo has prayed for the the immediate release of Chief Willie Obiano, Ex-Governor of Anambra State who is currently in the custody of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
Governor Soludo, the Executive Governor of Anambra State made this statement yesterday during his thanksgiving mass held at Saint Theresa’s Catholic Church, Isuofia in Anambra State.
Governor Soludo who described the embattled Ex-Governor as a good man who did his best in Anambra State had pray for his immediate release while emphasizing that Obiano “is a good man.”
The Ex-Governor Willie Obiano who was arrested by EFCC on the night of Thursday, March 17, just few hours after his official handover, is being investigated on a number of alleged embezzlement of funds which are yet to be proven
It will also be recalled that the close to his handover period, the Ex- Governor of Anambra State was placed on EFCC watchlist.
