
Students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka Embarks on a planned protest
Today, July 12 2021, the students of Nnamdi Azikwe University, Awka has embarked on a planned protest due to a purported increase in the school’s fees.
Despite the allegations of school fees increament, the school’s management have denied it and insisted that since the harmonization of school’s fees in 2019, there has not been any increment.
In a press statement earlier made available to newsmen and signed by Chika Gladys Ene, the school’s Ag. Head information and Public Relations, on behalf of the school’s management, the management had denied of any increment and insisted that the rumors were peddled by people who were bent on destroying the peace enjoyed by the school.
Notwithstanding this denial, the student still believes that there’s a hike in the fees and are not comfortable with the current school fees and as such, have moved ahead with their proposed protest scheduled to hold today, July 12 2021.
