TAKE THE CAMPAIGN TO YOUR WARDS, APC TELLS STAKEHOLDERS
….maps out strategies to ensure victory for the party on November 6
In what turned out to be a gathering of people unified by a burning desire to liberate Anambra State from its present shackles of maladministration, the All Progressives Congress, APC yesterday, October 17, 2021 held a crucial stakeholders meeting to chart the way forward as the November 6, 2021 governorship election draws near.
Like Will Rogers opined, “Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there,” the meeting was aimed at strategically mapping out ways of ensuring that the forthcoming election was not hijacked by those the party described as “desperate power mongers bent on imposing on the state an unwilling candidate.”
The inference here could be the stance of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA candidate who for the umpteenth time has maintained that he was doing the state a favour by contesting the position of governor.
Leading the charge, Sir Paul Chukwuma, director general of the Senator Andy Uba Campaign Organisation, charged his party’s stakeholders to be highly vigilant against any form of electoral fraud, stressing that the IGWEBUIKE Movement championed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC was an ideology which tge people of Anambra have come to embrace as a redemptive tonic.
Hon. Ifeanyi Ibezi, Deputy DG, Andy Uba Campaign Organisation and Hon. Linda Ikpeazu, member representing Onitsha North and South in the House of Representatives, in their separate contributions, charged all the party’s local government and ward executives and other grassroots leaders to go to the polls bearing in mind that they are destined by fate to deliver the people from the clutches of maladministration which the ruling APGA government has foisted on the people.
While addressing the stakeholders and party faithfuls, the APC Governorship Candidate, Sen. Uba urged the party faithful to go to their various wards and communities to spread the good news of APC, focussing mainly on issues contained in his Igwebuike manifesto. He further charged them to strongly and massively mobilize the people at the grassroots on election day to ensure that the APC and most importantly, the people, emerge from the November 6 election victorious.
Other dignitaries at the stakeholders parley include, former Nigerian Ambassador to Austria, Hon. Jerry Ugokwe, Hon. Ebele Obi, Amb. Elijah Onyeagba, serving and former members of the National Assembly, members of the State House of Assembly, APC State Working Committee members and a host of others.
