The Enugu State Commissioner for lands and Urban Development, Dr. Surv. Victor Chukwuemeka Nnam has resigned from office.
The Ministry of land has always been the envy of all Commissioners because of the power the holder of the office wields. It was uncommon to receive resignation from such juicy position. Like the proverbial Alpha, he holds the yam and the knife while the worshippers crawl around begging for plots and hectare in the new estates sprouting at every corner of the state.
According to his Letter, he was not in charge of his ministry and usually not given the right to execute as the head of his ministry especially with the recent removal of his departmental heads.
He also complained that his developmental reforms plans and proposals were without any stated reasons, rejected and muted since 2019.
His letter cited that the treatment meted out to some of his professionals and supervisors are not acceptable to him.
He said that the idea he had was that he was free to rule his ministry with his best hands
