There is No Distribution of Voter’s Card In Anaocha- Residents Cries Out
Like every other Local Government Area, Ahead of the Anambra November 6 Governorship Election, prospective voters in Anaocha have assembled in the INEC office in Anaocha Local Government Secretariat at Neni to pick up their voters card but there’s no ongoing distribution of Voter’s Card currently in Anaocha.
Recall that INEC had earlier announced the commencement of the Distribution of Voter’s Card to prospective voters who had registered during the last voters card registration exercise. Prospective voters have been asked to go to their respective Local Governments to pick their voters card.
As at 12:00 pm, our reporter at Anaocha Local Government Headquarters in Neni has disclosed that there’s currently no Distribution of Voter’s Card in Anaocha. People have gathered to pick their voters card are currently stranded. Some had come as early as 7am.
This is really heartbreaking as people have left their respective businesses to pick up their voters cards so as to exercise their civic responsibility but have been left stranded.
People who came for the Voter’s Card yesterday has also made the same complaints.
The INEC workers have refused to state any reasons for their refusal to issue voters cards.
