Sen. Andy Uba, the APC Governship Candidate for the just concluded Anambra Election has disclosed his intentions to head to court to seek redress regarding the Anambra Governorship Election which he said was not properly conducted.
Shortly after the news broke, Sen Victor Umeh had advised Sen Andy Uba that there was no reason to head to court as it wasn’t necessary and that he was clearly defeated.
Reacting to the statement, Ifeanyi Ubani, Media Aid to Senator Uche Ekwunife, Senator Representing Anambra Senatorial District has taken to his Facebook wall to state that Senator Victor Umeh has should be the last person to advise Senator Andy Uba against going to court since he, Senator Umeh is a Court Marshall himself.
According to him:
As much as I am not in support of the legal process initiated by Senator Andy Uba against Soludo, Victor Umeh is the last person to openly discourage the soft-spoken Senator from going to court.
He added that;
In 2019, Traditional Rulers and Religious Leaders in Anambra Central Senatorial District appealed to Victor Umeh not to go to court after he was fairly defeated in the election. He failed to listen to them, and exhausted his case in court.
What moral ground does Umeh have to tell Andy Uba not to approach the court, when he himself is a “COURT MARSHALL”?
Wonders shall never end!
